Montana Drifters was born on the banks of the legendary Big Blackfoot River in the Missoula Valley of Western Montana. It's always been my desire to offer you personalized outfitting services and invite you to experience Big Sky country the way it was meant to be, with the spirit of adventure and the willingness to have the time of your life.

Through out my years of professional fly fishing, I have always felt that many folks desire a different approach to guided fishing. That's why I started Montana Drifters, to share with you my passion for genuine personal service. From a gourmet lunch on the river to an exhilarating helicopter ride into a high mountain lake, you will find the service impeccable and the scenery breathtaking.

Catch the Rhythm of the Rivers
Montanadrifters starts the season in March. Mistakenly little attention is paid to the early spring fishing in Western Montana. Drifting the Blackfoot, Bitterroot, Clark Fork or Missouri Rivers offers some of the most enjoyable fishing opportunities of the year. The early stoneflies on the Bitterroot and Clark Fork bring some of the largest fish of the season to the surface. Summer dry fly fishing will transport you to realms that dreams are made of- long rippling runs, swirling eddies, foaming tail waters - filled with happy hatches and hefty trout eager to sip your fly. In Fall, colors blaze red, crimson and gold in the warm Indian summer afternoons and the rivers run steady- filled with sipping pods of Westslope Cutthroat, Rainbow and Browns.

Fly Fish with the Masters
The guides that I have chosen to work with are personal and respected friends. All of us know our Montana waters intimately. Wise and well versed in the ways of the trout, we offer you years of first hand experience, knowledge and commitment to personal service. Our series of fly-fishing trips and outdoor adventures appeal to travelers of all ages families, singles, seniors and folks of all levels of fishing and outdoor experience.
